Terpacu dengan hal tersebut, Indonesia digadang-gadang juga dapat menjadi pusat inovasi teknologi digital di wilayah Asia Tenggara. Rencananya, Silicon Valley ala Indonesia yang dinamakan Bukit Algoritma dapat mengakselerasi perkembangan inovasi dan teknologi di Indonesia dengan total proyek mencapai Rp18 Triliun. Namun demikian, pembangunan Silicon Valley juga patut dipertanyakan urgensi dan kesiapannya. Indonesia masih berada di papan bawah daya saing digital berdasarkan World Digital Competitiveness Ranking.
